At Gary Liberati Dentistry, we have the means to accommodate at-home sleep studies. In our experience, it helps if you have access to your own bed and pillow, as your comfort can affect the outcome of the sleep study.

The Sleep Apnea Apparatus

After your sleep study is complete, you'll proceed to the evaluation step. This includes an analysis of your snoring to understand the underlying cause. If it's determined that you would benefit from medical assistance, we'll take an impression of your teeth and create the apparatus. This device comes with a variety of benefits, as it will keep you from clenching your jaw or having your tongue slip back, which could cause an obstruction. We'll send the fitting to a lab, which makes the device. Then, when we get it back, we'll test-fit it for you.

The Monitoring Period

Once you've worn the device for a bit, you can come back to visit the dentist and have our team look at how well it's still fitting. We'll also be able to go over your new sleep habits to see if your results are improving. If you feel like you're getting quality sleep, then you can continue wearing it. The goal is to feel rested.
